Where We're Going

The Aspen City Council and the Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners decided in February to extend the time line for this public process, allowing the City and County Planning and Zoning Commissions enough time to meet jointly and carefully review the draft Aspen Area Community Plan Update.

To see a revised adoption schedule, including when each topic will be considered by the joint P&Zs, please

Once the P&Zs have jointly adopted a draft AACP Update later this year, there will be another opportunity for the public to weigh in before the plan goes to the Aspen City Council and Board of County Commissioners. Stay tuned to this site for more information.

The finished product will be a 10-year vision document for the City Council and County Board of Commissioners -- providing guidance for future decisions on issues ranging from Housing to Managing Growth to Transportation.
